Operations Technician Position Summary/Overview:

The position is responsible for performing maintenance and operations of company-owned pipelines and facilities currently located in Harrison County, WV. The system includes filtration, pipelines, compression, dehydration and metering.

Principal Duties & Tasks:

Operating the Assets - Performs work safely and helps others perform work safely. Ensures all employees and contractors comply with all Federal, State, Local, and Company requirements while performing duties. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Communicates with Operator's Supervision to provide updates on activities, address issues, and support efficient operations. Anticipate, evaluate, and troubleshoot abnormal and/or unusual operating conditions to ensure safe and efficient operations. Read meters, gauges, or automatic recording devices at specified intervals to verify operating conditions. Records data such as temperature of equipment, hours of operation, fuel consumed, temperature or pressure, liquid levels, etc. Adjusts manual controls or automated set points to keep equipment in recommended or prescribed operating ranges, switch to backup equipment or systems, or to shut down equipment. Visually inspects equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or lubrication. Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, repacking bearings, replacing packing glands, gaskets, valves, recorders, and gauges, and cleaning or replacing burners or other components. Ensuring pipeline integrity, through routine pigging, cathodic protection surveys, and operating within established design parameters. Maintaining established pipeline ROW, via routine maintenance, One-Call marking, and oversight of 3rd party crossings. Records operation and maintenance actions taken during shift in operator's logbook. From time to time, oversee 3rd party contractors that may be involved in the work. Evaluation of SCADA data and alarms and handling of call outs. Performs a broad spectrum of Tasks, Duties and Roles (related and unrelated to the natural gas industry) in order to support a small midstream company as directed by Supervisor Participates in call out rotation with other employees to maintain high run time. Physical Ability Must be physically able to execute work as required (lifting, turning, wrenching, standing, walking, climbing stairs, work at heights on elevated platforms, and occasionally on a ladder or in a basket). When assigned to rotational times for callout duties, must be able to respond to the work site at any hour including some weekends and holidays. Interfacing Will require interfacing with company personnel and contractors to discuss plans and task execution. Occasionally may require interfacing with landowners, State and Federal Regulators, and the general public while in the course of normal work duties. Safety and Training Demonstrate a safe work mindset and practices to the organization. Ensure all work activities are undertaken to minimize negative impacts to the environment, employees and neighbors. Adhere to training and procedures while on company time or operating a company vehicle Required to pass and/or maintain Operator Qualification(s), a valid driver's license, and any other training provided by or through the company. Required to participate in Company DOT drug testing program which includes pre-hire, quarterly random, and for cause drug and alcohol testing. Attend operations meetings and scheduled training.

See that the assets operate safely, within designed parameters and industry regulations. Operate in an optimized manner to minimize costs, maintain asset integrity and maximize volume throughput. Readily identifies and promptly acts upon any operational or equipment deficiencies to ensure protection of community, personnel, environment and assets. Maintain confidentialities. Demonstrate professional conduct and business ethics at all times. Demonstrate proficiency in teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills. Demonstrates good house keeping with regard to company facilities, vehicles, and ROWs Demonstrates responsibility and timely response to any off hours call outs. If called upon, ensure outsourced activities are managed per the work scope requirements.

Skills:

Independently work and execute operation and maintenance tasks Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. As requested by Supervisor monitor and provide direction to others. Mechanical, maintenance skills, and knowledge of glycol dehydration, compressors, pumps, pump seals knowledge are desirable. Problem solving with no or minimal additional input Operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license

Experience/Education:

High school diploma required or equivalent; trade school or an associate's degree or higher preferred. Minimum 5 years of oil and gas field experience relevant to compression, pipeline, and dehydration operations preferred, but not required.

Travel Requirements:

Job requires minimal travel in day to day activities, local travel for pipeline associated work. Rarely there may be out of town or overnight stays (less than 4%) Primary Living Location - Must live within 35 miles (or 45 minutes) of 771 Thoroughbred Dr, Bridgeport WV West Virginia Primary Work Location - At central compressor station located just outside of Bridgeport, WV at 771 Thoroughbred Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330.
