Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Residential and Commercial Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering top-quality painting services across a variety of projects, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and renovation sites. Your expertise will ensure surfaces are properly prepared, coated, and finished to meet client specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, and repairing drywall, plaster, stucco, or masonry surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Apply primer, paint, stain, or coating using brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (including airless spray equipment), and conventional spray systems with precision and efficiency Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and color schemes to accurately execute project requirements Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform surface preparation and finishing tasks in compliance with safety regulations and protocols Conduct surface inspections with visual color comparison techniques to ensure color accuracy and consistency across projects Manage construction site activities related to painting, including scaffolding setup, ladder use, fixture installation, and working at heights safely Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople during remodeling or restoration projects to coordinate work seamlessly Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocol guidelines during construction painting tasks Assist in estimating project costs related to materials and labor when required Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting as well as commercial or industrial painting environments with a strong portfolio of completed projects Proficiency in surface preparation techniques such as drywall finishing, plastering, caulking, sanding, and masonry work Skilled in using various application methods including brush painting, roller painting, hand tools, paint sprayers (airless), and spray systems for construction surface coating Knowledge of construction estimating principles and interpreting technical drawings or schematics is highly desirable Ability to work safely at heights utilizing ladders or scaffolding while following all safety regulations and protocols Strong understanding of color theory for accurate color matching and visual color comparisons Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope and materials needed Experience with renovation projects involving fixture installation or frame carpentry is a plus Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret instructions clearly on construction sites Valid driver's license preferred; experience with handyman tasks such as minor repairs or maintenance is advantageous Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces through expert craftsmanship!
