The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of construction, including masonry, concrete finishing, and landscape hardscaping. This role involves working on outdoor projects that enhance the aesthetic and functional appeal of residential and commercial properties. Candidates with experience in blueprint reading, heavy equipment operation, and diverse construction techniques will thrive in this position. The successful applicant will contribute to high-quality project execution while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Duties Install and construct outdoor hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces using concrete, stone, brick, and pavers. Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete projects. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation. Perform concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work with precision. Execute site preparation tasks including grading, excavation, and surface leveling. Apply finishing techniques such as caulking, sealing, and surface treatments to ensure durability and aesthetic quality. Coordinate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining safety protocols. Assist with demolition or restoration work as needed on existing structures or landscapes. Maintain a clean work environment and properly care for tools and equipment. Experience Proven experience in hardscape installation or related construction fields such as masonry, carpentry, or landscaping. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to outdoor construction projects. Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery like skid steers or excavators is preferred. Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, masonry work (brickwork, stonework), and landscape installation is highly desirable. Ability to use power tools including saws, drills, grinders, as well as hand tools for detailed craftsmanship. Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety standards is essential. Additional skills such as plumbing, electrical experience, roofing, or restoration work are a plus but not required.
