Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile General to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing and executing a wide range of construction tasks across various projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects, from initial planning through final finishes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse building sites, including remodeling, new construction, and outdoor hardscape installations. Responsibilities Interpret and follow detailed construction plans and technical drawings to guide project execution. Perform various building construction tasks, including framing, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, and trim carpentry. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as door hanging, tile laying, caulking, masonry work, and window installation. Conduct construction inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and quality standards. Manage the installation of building materials such as drywall, stucco, masonry units, and other exterior finishes while maintaining high craftsmanship standards. Use Bluebeam software for reviewing plans and marking up documents to facilitate clear communication across teams. Operate heavy equipment when necessary for site preparation or material handling on outdoor projects. Assist with construction estimating by assessing materials needed and labor requirements for various tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly handling tools and materials on-site. Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely progress and resolve any issues that arise during construction activities. Qualifications Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in building trades such as carpentry, masonry, drywall installation, or remodeling. Extensive knowledge of construction projects including residential, commercial, or industrial sites. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, tile cutters, masonry equipment, and other relevant tools of the trade. Experience operating heavy machinery and outdoor equipment safely on job sites. Familiarity with safety protocols including OSHA standards and site-specific safety procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks requiring standing for long periods and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Electrical experience or plumbing knowledge is a plus but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to adapt quickly to project needs.
