Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Painter/Foreman to oversee and execute high-quality painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role is vital in leading painting crews, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering exceptional craftsmanship that transforms spaces. As a Lead Painter/Foreman, you will combine technical expertise with leadership skills to manage project timelines, coordinate with clients and team members, and uphold the highest standards of surface preparation and finishing. Duties Lead and supervise painting crews on multiple projects, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to client specifications Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project plans to determine scope of work and required materials Prepare surfaces through sanding, scraping, caulking, drywall repair, plastering, and other surface preparation techniques for optimal paint adhesion Apply coatings using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (conventional and airless), and industrial spray techniques Manage construction estimating tasks related to paint quantities, material needs, and labor hours to stay within project budgets Ensure compliance with safety regulations by enforcing safety protocol adherence and utilizing respiratory protection when necessary Coordinate fixture installation, restoration projects, masonry work, carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry or drywall finishing as needed for comprehensive project completion Experience Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong background in residential and commercial painting projects Skilled in construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding construction schedules Hands-on expertise with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless systems), scaffolding use (ladder use), and surface preparation equipment Knowledge of color theory for effective visual color comparison and aesthetic finishes Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection and hazard mitigation measures Experience in renovation projects involving plastering, stucco application, fixture installation, restoration work, masonry, drywall finishing, caulking, trim carpentry or maintenance tasks is highly desirable Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations combined with handyman experience for troubleshooting on-site issues Join our team as a Lead Painter/Foreman to lead impactful projects that enhance spaces while fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.
