Overview Join our dynamic team as a Leak Detection Technician, where you'll play a vital role in safeguarding water systems and plumbing infrastructure across residential and commercial properties. This energetic position offers the chance to utilize your technical skills, construction experience, and mechanical knowledge to identify and resolve leaks efficiently. As a key contributor, you'll ensure plumbing systems operate flawlessly, helping clients maintain safe, reliable water services while advancing your career in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This paid position provides comprehensive training and opportunities for growth in the plumbing and construction industries. Responsibilities Conduct thorough leak detection inspections using plumbing inspection cameras, schematics, and blueprints to locate issues accurately. Operate power tools, hand tools, pipe threading equipment, and construction site machinery safely and effectively. Perform plumbing system maintenance and repairs on water systems, including pipe repairs, pipe threading, and component replacements. Utilize drain cleaning equipment and techniques to clear blockages in residential and commercial plumbing systems. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide repair or installation projects according to local building codes. Assist with construction site tasks such as carpentry, remodeling, assembly, and HVAC-related work when needed. Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and system diagnostics; ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations. Operate company vehicles responsibly for site visits while adhering to commercial driving regulations. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during service visits. Experience Construction experience with a focus on plumbing or related trades is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with welding, drain cleaning, pipe threading, or HVAC systems is advantageous. Familiarity with construction plumbing, residential plumbing, commercial plumbing, and water systems is essential. Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics or blueprints; basic math skills are necessary for measurements and calculations. Experience working on construction sites or in remodeling projects enhances your suitability for this role. Knowledge of local building codes ensures all work complies with legal standards. Mechanical aptitude combined with handyman skills such as carpentry or assembly work will support your success in this role. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles; commercial driving experience is a plus. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity over extended periods is required. K&S Plumbing is looking to add a residential leak detection to our team. Must have years of experience with top brand leak detection equipment, (LeakTronics, Sewerin or SebaKMT), be professional, and motivated. Must be completely capable of running your own truck with an acceptable driving record. Residential plumbing experience is a plus.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
