This full-time role is ideal for a professional who excels in troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of plumbing systems in both residential and light commercial settings. The Regional Plumber will travel between communities as needed and must have open availability, including weekends and holidays, to respond to urgent maintenance needs. Position Overview The Regional Plumber plays a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and functionality of our senior living environments. This individual will provide high-quality plumbing support across several buildings, address both routine and emergency repairs, and collaborate with onsite maintenance teams to maintain community standards. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, water lines, drainage systems, and related equipment across assigned communities. Respond to urgent plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal disruption to residents. Conduct scheduled inspections to identify hazards, inefficiencies, or potential system failures. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate system layout and installation. Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete tasks efficiently and safely. Collaborate with community maintenance teams and leadership to coordinate repairs, renovations, or plumbing-related upgrades. Document all work performed, including parts used, time spent, and recommended follow-up actions. Assist with plumbing needs during unit turnovers, renovations, or community improvement projects. Maintain strict adherence to state and local plumbing codes, health regulations, and safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with residents, staff, and managers, ensuring satisfaction with completed work. Travel between multiple communities as assigned, sometimes on short notice, depending on community needs. Participate in an on-call rotation and remain available for weekends and holidays as required. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a plumber in residential, commercial, or multi-unit housing environments. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of plumbing issues. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and plumbing system layouts. Experience with pipe threading, soldering, welding, and use of specialized plumbing equipment. Familiarity with HVAC, water heaters, and building mechanical systems preferred. Strong understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines and local plumbing codes. Effective use of hand tools and power tools specific to plumbing work. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication and customer-service skills for interacting with residents and team members. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area as needed.
