8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday - Friday. Will be required to work standby and overtime as needed.

Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Respiratory screen/chest x-ray and Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate. Will be required to pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check in addition to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office background check prior to appointment. Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows Location Job ID County-Wide 36304 Skilled work at the journeyman level, installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures and equipment. Installs, maintains, and repairs pipes, valves, faucets, irrigation systems, water heaters, backflow prevention devices, lavatories, commodes, urinals, traps, sewer vents, grease traps, and other sanitary fixtures. Inspects all safety devices and controls; works from general instructions, building specifications, blueprints, and sketches; completes time and materials estimates. Work is performed under general supervision and reviewed through on-site inspections and observation of work in progress.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following: Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of plumbing or irrigation experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
The selected candidate for this position: May be required to obtain a Florida (FL) Backflow Prevention Certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include: Experience maintaining and servicing commercial plumbing systems (must specify on application) , FL Backflow Prevention Certification, and Palm Beach County (PBC)/FL Plumbing License.
