In this role, you'll lead residential diagnostics, guide homeowners through clear options, and deliver meticulous installations and repairs that meet local codes and our high standards. The challenges you'll conquer Systematically diagnose failures in home plumbing systems and components. Provide straightforward recommendations on repair versus replacement. Install and assemble pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, and related systems. Service and repair water and gas systems, including piping and components. Perform leak testing using water and/or compressed air to ensure safe operation.
Handle core repairs:
replace washers, fix burst pipes, and clear drain blockages. Own your truck stock—monitor inventory, place orders, and verify receipts. Keep tools calibrated and serviced per manufacturer instructions. Model safety best practices and maintain PPE. Assist with additional duties as needed. What equips you for success Minimum 2 years of practical experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair across residential/commercial settings. Clean driving record and a valid driver's license. Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Hands-on expertise with water, gas, and sewage systems. Familiar with state/local plumbing codes and compliance. Proficient with pipe cutters, threaders, soldering/brazing tools, and similar equipment. Analytical problem-solver who can diagnose complex issues and propose solutions. Strong communicator—verbal and written—with customers and teammates. Physically capable of demanding tasks in confined spaces for extended periods. Committed to safety protocols and a safe jobsite. Customer-first approach and professional demeanor. Comfortable using mobile apps and work management software. Ability to lead apprentices and collaborate with other trades on larger projects. Flexible availability, including weekends and emergency calls when needed. Work conditions and physical details Lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally. Climb ladders; enter attics and crawlspaces; work in tight spaces; push, pull, carry; use hand tools; perform fine-detail work; drive between sites. Ability to drive. Operate in indoor/outdoor settings, including attics and crawlspaces. Stand, walk, sit; talk and hear both in person and by phone. Use hands to handle/feel objects/controls; reach with hands and arms. Frequently stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch. Exposure to temperature extremes and adverse weather (heat, cold, wind, rain, ice, snow).
