This professional will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive knowledge of plumbing building codes, blueprint reading, and safety regulations, ensuring all work complies with local standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing a wide range of hand and power tools to deliver high-quality plumbing solutions. The Journeyman Plumber will play a vital role in supporting our commitment to safe, efficient, and reliable plumbing services. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with construction plans, schematics, and local building codes. Read blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and pipe routing. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble piping systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all phases of installation and maintenance activities. Perform maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) tasks on existing plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality. Install gas piping systems safely while adhering to relevant codes and standards. Conduct system inspections to identify issues related to leaks, blockages, or mechanical failures. Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and clients to coordinate project timelines and specifications. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and compliance documentation. Assist in remodeling projects or handyman tasks requiring plumbing expertise. Skills Extensive construction site experience with a focus on plumbing installation and repair. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans. Strong knowledge of plumbing building codes and local regulations governing plumbing systems. Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, threaders, and other mechanical tools. Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, and pipe threading machines. Knowledge of gas piping systems installation and safety procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during material handling or system installation. Mechanical aptitude with understanding HVAC systems related to building climate control. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work. Experience working on commercial or residential construction sites with adherence to safety regulations. Ability to interpret construction plans accurately while following schematics. Valid commercial driver's license preferred for site transportation needs. Handyman experience or background in remodeling enhances versatility in project scope.
