Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems meet all safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in new construction, remodeling, and repair projects using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts. Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Perform pipe threading, pipe installation, gas piping system setup, and pipe system maintenance with precision. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues related to leaks, blockages, or mechanical failures; perform necessary repairs or replacements. Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and clients to deliver quality workmanship on schedule while maintaining excellent customer service. Adhere to safety protocols during heavy lifting, working at heights, or in confined spaces; promote a safe work environment for all team members. Skills Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of residential and commercial plumbing systems. Proficiency in welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications. Knowledge of plumbing building codes and local regulations governing construction plumbing projects. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical diagrams accurately. Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, threaders; power tools including drills and saws. Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and general building maintenance. Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), pipe threading, gas piping systems, and system troubleshooting. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Familiarity with safety regulations including OSHA standards; ability to work safely in various environments. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; carpentry experience is a plus for remodeling tasks. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; experience with construction site experience is preferred. $33.77 - $45.00 per hour
