Water Well Drilling Apprentice (Gen. Laborer) Job Description•
Water Well Apprentice:
Steffl Drilling & Pump is seeking a Water Well Apprentice who will rotate between drilling and pump service and repair work. If you enjoy working outdoors, getting lots of hours, and getting a workout in while you work, this is the job for you. Related jobs that transition well are oil and gas roughnecks, engine mechanics, farm laborers, concrete laborers, and plumbers.
Certs/License:
Clean MVR. Valid Driver's License with CDL Class A (preferred) or CDL B License Current medical card approved Ability to obtain air brake, tanker and HAZMAT endorsements Ability to obtain state drilling license
Responsibilities:
  • Must have good sales skills and make sure the customer is happy before you leave the yard.
  • Know state codes on how to construct wells, to include isolation distances & grouting requirements
  • Abide by safety and personal protective and equipment policies & procedures.
  • Attend regularly scheduled safety meetings
  • Work long hours (12-14 hrs) if needed, work out of town & overnights up to 4 nights a week ($125/night per diem)
