Job Description

Class A CDL Driver-Willmar MN This position is responsible for transporting poultry eggs, and day-old poults in a bio-secure, safe, and timely schedule. Select Genetics is an international company, providing poultry eggs, hatching poults and transporting these products to our customers. This position is specific to the transportation department. We are the leading supplier of poults and eggs to growers and companies across the world and have operations in seven US States. The position is based out of MN and works with a team of drivers and reports to the transportation manager. Class A CDL Driver responsibilities include safe transport of product that includes consistent cleanliness, bio-security, and animal welfare standards. Our organization follows all State and Federal DOT standards providing safe operation for our drivers. The safety and security of our drivers and product is a top priority. Work requires prolong sitting while driving and operate CMV in both solo and team driving operations. Class A CDL Driver must be physically able to lift up to 70 lbs., pull or push up to 150 lbs. when loading or unloading the truck. The driver may be asked to assist with truck sanitation based on Company's needs. Work is subject to tight deadlines and interruptions. 1. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and all applicable federal and state regulations. 2. Follow strict attendance policy. 3. Active listening and customer service orientation skills. 4. Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle. 5. Fully licensed to drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs. 6. Pick-up, unload, and safely transport a day-old poults or eggs. 7. Ensure contents are properly secured in truck, and flatbed to prevent damage/injury. 8. Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries. 9. Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery. 10. Confirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest document. 11. Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered. 12. Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times. 13. Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs. 14. Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions. 15. Comply with DOT regulations. 16. Make safety a priority at all times. 17. Responsible for cleaning and light maintenance on equipment used. This is a full-time position with benefits and compensation rage of 60 - 95 K based on prior experience. Bv7EIPUeLT
