Performs regular and emergency repairs to piping systems, repairs or replaces damaged components. Opens clogged drains and vents Uses standard plumbing and piping equipment Performs preventative maintenance and testing on piping systems and fixtures for all steam, hot and cold water, compressed air, medical gases vacuum and backflow preventors. Prevents defective pipe by cutting, bending, threading and assembling pipe; solders or caulks pipe joints, inspects connections and components for leaks. Replaces or installs piping insulation. Maintains appropriate documentaion of equipment maintenance and reports systems conditions, time and materials expended and troubleshooting methods. Detects and reports any unusual conditions to immediate supervisor. Assists other maintenance employees in event of emergencies Performs other duties as assigned

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

City of Juristicition Journeyman Plumber liscense, Certification in Repair and Testing of backflow preventors required and works weekends shifts and holidays as required.. Works weekends, shifts and holidays as required
