What We Do Wingate is a team of home-service professionals who go the extra mile to keep our customers' plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, and electrical systems operating at peak performance. The Big Task As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced plumbers to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair residential plumbing systems. You will develop your technical abilities, customer-service skills, and knowledge of the trade while working toward the certifications needed to advance your career. No two days will be exactly alike. You will learn by doing meaningful work in customers' homes while representing Wingate with professionalism and care. Key Responsibilities Assist experienced plumbers with residential plumbing installations, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. Learn plumbing systems and procedures through hands-on experience, classroom instruction, and company training. Follow safety standards, plumbing codes, company procedures, and directions from your supervising plumber. Communicate clearly with customers, dispatch, managers, and the parts and installation teams. Protect customers' homes by maintaining a clean, organized, and respectful work area. Keep company vehicles clean inside and out and help maintain accurate truck inventory. Handle tools, equipment, parts, and materials safely and responsibly. Complete paperwork and digital job records accurately and on time. Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing Wingate. Participate fully in training and pursue the certifications required to advance in the trade. What You Bring You do not need to know everything on your first day. We are looking for someone who is ready to learn, willing to work, and serious about building a career.
The right candidate will have:
A strong work ethic and the ability to follow through on commitments. A positive, coachable attitude and willingness to learn from experienced professionals. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools. Good communication skills and respect for customers, teammates, and their property. Attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job correctly. The physical ability to perform plumbing work, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record. A willingness to complete required training and certifications with Wingate's support.
