Journeyman Plumber

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing installations meet safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. This includes both new construction and service work. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in new construction and remodeling projects. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of plumbing systems Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other construction tools safely and efficiently. Perform heavy lifting tasks and carry out construction site work with a focus on safety protocols Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters and HVAC technicians to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of building systems. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and compliance with building codes and safety standards. Skills Proven experience in construction plumbing, including pipe installation, repair, and maintenance Strong knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to plumbing systems Ability to read basic math measurements accurately for precise installations Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in welding, pipe threading, and the use of hand tools and power tools Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety procedures and heavy lifting techniques Knowledge of HVAC systems and general building maintenance is a plus Valid Journeyman Plumber license or ability to obtain one is required.
