Job Description

A Commercial Plumber installs, maintains, and repairs plumbing systems in commercial and industrial buildings, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes. Key Responsibilities Install and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings such as offices, hospitals, schools, and factories . Repair and troubleshoot plumbing issues like leaks, clogs, low water pressure, and malfunctioning fixtures. Ensure compliance with codes and standards , working closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to meet local and national building regulations. Install and maintain backflow prevention systems to protect public water supplies. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system functionality and durability. Collaborate with project teams to coordinate plumbing work with other construction activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications Education :
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical school in plumbing is preferred.
Licensing :
Valid plumbing license as required by state or local regulations.
Experience :
Proven experience in commercial plumbing, including installation, maintenance, and repair. Technical knowledge : Familiarity with plumbing codes, safety standards, and modern plumbing technologies . Physical fitness : Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks. Problem-solving and communication : Strong analytical skills and ability to interact with clients and team members effectively. Work Environment Fieldwork at various commercial and industrial sites, often requiring travel between locations. Exposure to occupational hazards, requiring adherence to safety protocols. Reporting to a Service Plumbing Superviisor, Service Manager,, or Construction Manager, depending on the work.
