Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience (of at least 3 years) in residential service plumbing, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Journeyperson Plumber will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing systems function efficiently and meet safety standards. New build experience is a big plus. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. Install Tank/Tankless Water Heaters Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete plumbing tasks. Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with local codes. Perform heavy lifting and physical labor as required during installations and repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including HVAC technicians and carpenters, on remodeling projects. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their plumbing needs. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues efficiently. Apply basic math skills for measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes accurately. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with relevant certifications or licenses. Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools related to plumbing work. Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge to understand complex plumbing systems. Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs. Experience in remodeling projects is advantageous. Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
