Commercial Journeyman PlumberJob Summary We are seeking an experienced, dependable Journeyman Plumber to join our growing service team. Our work is primarily commercial plumbing service and repair , with some residential work and larger plumbing projects as needed. We are looking for a plumber who is comfortable troubleshooting problems, working independently, communicating with customers and the office, and taking responsibility for a job from diagnosis through completion. This is not a position where someone will be standing over you throughout the day. You should be able to receive a service call or work order, evaluate the problem, develop a practical repair plan, communicate what is needed, and complete the work safely and efficiently. At the same time, we don't expect anyone to know everything. We want someone who is experienced but still coachable and willing to learn . If there is an area where you need additional knowledge or experience, we are willing to help you develop it. Perform commercial service calls independently and efficiently. Install, repair, and replace water, sewer, drain, gas, and plumbing fixture systems. Troubleshoot leaks, stoppages, water heaters, pumps, valves, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment. Perform sewer and drain repairs, including underground and under-slab plumbing when required. Complete plumbing installations and repairs according to applicable plumbing codes and manufacturer requirements. Read blueprints, schematics, specifications, and construction documents when required. Determine appropriate materials, equipment, and repair methods for assigned work. Communicate clearly with customers, property managers, contractors, and office staff. Document work performed, materials used, job conditions, and recommended repairs. Complete required work orders, estimates, invoices, photographs, and other job documentation accurately and on time. Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and work area. Protect customer property and leave work areas clean after completing work. Follow company safety procedures and applicable job-site safety requirements. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours service. Work overtime when available and when required for certain projects or emergency calls. Qualifications Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License. Strong commercial plumbing service and repair experience. Ability to diagnose plumbing problems and develop practical solutions without constant supervision. Knowledge of commercial water, sewer, drain, gas, and fixture systems. Experience using common plumbing equipment and diagnostic tools. Strong understanding of plumbing codes and safe work practices. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Ability to manage time and move efficiently between service calls. Comfortable using a phone or tablet for work orders, photographs, estimates, invoices, and job documentation. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to perform the physical requirements of commercial plumbing work. Experience with commercial water heaters, hydronic/mechanical piping, pumps, backflow systems, gas piping, sewer cameras, locating equipment, smoke testing,lift stations, steam systems is beneficial. You do not need to be an expert in every one of these areas. We care more about having a strong plumbing foundation and being willing to learn what you don't know.
