Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise in construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, and blueprint reading will ensure that all work meets safety standards and quality expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new builds to remodeling and maintenance tasks, contributing to the successful completion of complex plumbing systems. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment across construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans. Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly of plumbing components to ensure secure connections. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems for leaks, corrosion, or other issues; troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively. Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC specialists, and field service crews to coordinate project tasks smoothly. Assist in remodeling and maintenance projects by applying handyman skills and basic carpentry techniques. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in construction plumbing and site work. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding apparatus, and other construction tools. Knowledge of HVAC systems, schematics interpretation, mechanical principles, and basic math for measurements and calculations. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate commercial driving vehicles if required. Hands-on experience with remodeling projects, maintenance tasks, assembly work, and general construction site procedures. Valid licensing or certification as a Journeyman Plumber preferred; relevant handyman or trade certifications are a plus.
