  • Deliver the state-approved Plumbing curriculum.
  • Provide classroom, worksite, and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Help students develop the technical and professional skills required for employment and additional education or training.
  • Prepare students to successfully participate in plumbing internships.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom and construction site environment.
  • Use instructional technology and hands-on learning strategies to increase student engagement.
  • Evaluate student progress through a variety of formal and informal assessments.
  • Support student involvement in SkillsUSA and prepare students for district, state, and national competitions and activities.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to align instruction with current plumbing needs and support internship and entry-level employment opportunities. Required Qualifications Applicants must meet at least one of the following requirements:
  • Hold a current Utah
DOPL P200
General Plumbing Contractor License or
DOPL P201
Residential Plumbing Contractor License and a R100 General Contractor's license within one year of hire. OR
  • Hold a valid Professional Educator License issued by the Utah State Board of Education with a Secondary or CTE license area of concentration and a Plumbing endorsement and DOPL License(s)
  • Hold a valid Associate Educator License issued by the Utah State Board of Education with a Secondary or CTE license area of concentration and a Plumbing Technician endorsement and DOPL License(s).
  • Hold an equivalent teaching license from another state with an endorsement comparable to the Utah Plumbing endorsement and DOPL License(s).
