Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and drainage components in new construction and renovation projects Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment to complete installations and repairs efficiently Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent issues and extend system lifespan Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and clients to coordinate project timelines and address any plumbing-related concerns Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while following safety protocols Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a valid license or certification demonstrating completion of apprenticeship or equivalent training Strong knowledge of construction plumbing, residential plumbing, commercial plumbing, and mechanical systems Ability to read schematics, blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately Familiarity with plumbing system maintenance and repair procedures as well as troubleshooting skills Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety regulations and building code compliance Skilled in pipe installation techniques including pipe threading and gas piping systems installation Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic math for measurements and calculations Knowledge of local building codes related to plumbing systems and adherence to safety standards Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or project stakeholders Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of the role including remodeling or handyman tasks when needed Valid driver's license for commercial driving or field service travel as required Join our team as a Journeyman Plumber if you're passionate about delivering high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment.
