$21.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on experience Firehouse Subs in Puyallup is looking for a dependable, motivated, and experienced Assistant Manager to help lead our team and support the daily operation of our restaurant. The Assistant Manager will work closely with ownership and management to maintain excellent customer service, food quality, cleanliness, employee performance, and efficient restaurant operations. Responsibilities Assist with daily restaurant operations and shift management Lead, coach, and motivate team members and shift leaders Provide excellent customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns Ensure sandwiches and other menu items are prepared according to Firehouse Subs standards Monitor food quality, portioning, and product waste Help control food and labor costs Ensure proper food preparation, labeling, dating, rotation, and storage Complete opening and closing responsibilities Monitor employee attendance, breaks, and timekeeping Assist with employee training and performance expectations Maintain restaurant cleanliness and food-safety standards Help receive deliveries and verify inventory Assist with inventory counts and identify missing or low-stock products Handle cash, registers, deposits, and other cash-control responsibilities as assigned Ensure employees follow company policies and management instructions Step in wherever needed during busy periods Qualifications Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Dependable, organized, and able to take initiative Ability to manage employees in a fast-paced environment Strong focus on customer service, food quality, cleanliness, and teamwork Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform normal restaurant duties Washington Food Worker Card required ServSafe Manager certification preferred What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who leads by example .
