Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and working closely with our service technicians, this position will help support the daily operation of our repair shop and keep customer equipment moving efficiently through the repair process. No previous vacuum-pump or professional mechanical experience is required. TVP will provide the training, tools, and hands-on experience necessary to learn the trade. While working in a climate controlled shop environment. Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving and intake of customer pumps and equipment
• Perform initial visual inspections and assist with equipment evaluations
• Clean pumps and components in preparation for inspection and repair
• Perform oil and filter changes
• Replace fittings and external components
• Assist with basic pump disassembly and reassembly
• Perform minor repairs and service tasks as trained
• Prepare and paint pumps and components
• Move equipment safely throughout the shop using appropriate equipment
• Loading, unloading, pickups, and deliveries
• Maintain parts and shop inventory
• Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized
• Follow established repair procedures, quality standards, and safety practices
• Assist experienced technicians with repair and rebuilding activities
• Learn TVP's equipment, processes, and service standards
• Take on additional technical responsibilities as skills and experience develop

Qualifications Required:

• Valid driver's license
• High School diploma or GED
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to safely work with hand and power tools
• Ability to work in an active industrial shop environment
• Background check

Preferred:

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in how things work
• Hands-on experience with tools, automobiles, motorcycles, machinery, equipment, or other mechanical projects
• Experience in mechanical repair, maintenance, manufacturing, construction, automotive repair, industrial service, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship No previous professional mechanical or vacuum-pump experience is required.

Candidates must be able to:

• Stand and work on their feet for extended periods
• Lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
• Bend, kneel, reach, and work in various positions
• Work around and with oil, grease, cleaning materials, and paint
• Safely use hand and power tools
• Work around hoists, lifting equipment, and forklifts
• Assist with loading, unloading, pickups, and deliveries
• Wear required personal protective equipment and safety footwear Forklift experience is not required. Training will be provided. Compensation & Benefits
