This is an outdoor, physically demanding position that involves working around a quarry and processing plant. The primary responsibility of this position is to help keep the plant and surrounding work areas clean, safe, and operating efficiently. This includes cleaning up spilled material, shoveling, sweeping, removing buildup around equipment and conveyors, and assisting with other general labor duties throughout the quarry as needed. Applicants should understand that this is a hard-labor position performed outdoors in Florida weather. The job involves heat, sun, dust, dirt, noise, and physically demanding work throughout the day. Job Duties & Responsibilities Perform general cleanup around the crushing/screening plant and quarry grounds Shovel and remove spilled rock, screenings, dirt, and other material from around equipment and work areas Keep walkways, work areas, and areas around conveyors and plant equipment clean Use shovels, brooms, hoses, and other hand tools as needed Assist plant operators and other quarry employees with general labor tasks Perform basic housekeeping and site maintenance Work safely around conveyors, loaders, haul trucks, and other heavy equipment Follow all company safety procedures and MSHA regulations Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns to a supervisor Perform other general quarry and plant duties as assigned Perform general cleanup around the crushing/screening plant and quarry grounds Shovel and remove spilled rock, screenings, dirt, and other material from around equipment and work areas Keep walkways, work areas, and areas around conveyors and plant equipment clean Use shovels, brooms, hoses, and other hand tools as needed Assist plant operators and other quarry employees with general labor tasks Perform basic housekeeping and site maintenance Work safely around conveyors, loaders, haul trucks, and other heavy equipment Follow all company safety procedures and MSHA regulations Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns to a supervisor Perform other general quarry and plant duties as assigned Requirements Must be able to perform physically demanding labor for an extended period of time Must be willing and able to work outdoors in Florida heat and weather conditions Must be able to regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, shovel, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday Must be comfortable working in a dusty, noisy industrial/quarry environment Must be dependable and report to work on time Must be able to follow instructions and safety procedures Must have enough English proficiency to understand basic work instructions, safety directions, and warnings Must be willing to work Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM Quarry, mining, construction, landscaping, or other outdoor labor experience is helpful but not required
