ABOUT THE
ROLEMobile Equipment Operator dayshift is a key position transporting materials throughout the quarry into piles, trucks or crushers, depending upon production/shipping requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHP
Primary operations of haul trucks; water trucks, rock breakersand fuel truck. Depending upon quarry operational requirements, operating mobile equipment to include, but not limited to front end loaders (993s, 992s, 980s, etc.), haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, grader, excavators, fuel truck, dredge and skid steer loaders. Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets and report problems. Correct malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to quarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made. Do any cleanup that is necessary to have a better and safer working environment. Taking accurate and reliable counts of material additions as required. Maintain strong communication with quality personnel and make adjustment to material blends as required Communicate all safety, maintenance and production needs. Other responsibilities as assigned. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
Ability to read and write.
Education Preferred:
 High School diploma/GED
Required Work Experience:
Experience working in varying weather elements. Quarry experience preferred Additional Requirements Experience with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions Self-motivated with a solid work ethic Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment. Ability to learn plant flow, plant operations and screening Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. Previous experience in a construction or quarry environment preferred. This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employees may have the work schedule adjusted on short notice. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face inorder to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
