ABOUT THE ROLE
This position directly reports to the various quarry supervisors. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. Primary responsibilities include assisting in production functions and maintenance.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times. Understand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety policies to assure that environmental, healthand safety are the first priority Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist as needed to improve EHS Communicates effectively and timely with staff Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy and organized at all times Trains and coaches other employees when needed Performs other duties as time permits or as assigned
Results/Accountabilities:
nternal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company resources Ensure compliance with internal control procedures Unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law Ability to work independently, self-starter, yet able to participate within a team environment Ability to operate equipment effectively Must understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areas Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Previous surface mining experience preferred but not required Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English) Welding, cutting, and mechanical skills are desired Haul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipment Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed Additional Requirements Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
