Job Location:
Leer South Mining Complex (Philippi, WV)
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Operating at a minimum of three pieces of heavy equipment and support equipment on a refuse impoundment.
Equipment operation includes:
775 haul trucks, D-8 dozer, D-6 dozer, 16G grader, 988H loader, and vibrating roller. Must be involved with our STEEL safety program by performing Rivets (observations) on co-workers and communicate the findings
Dozer operation will include reclamation of slopes and running grade on fill
Fuel, lube, and perform routine maintenance checks on a variety of mining equipment. Assist with moving light plants and slurry lines. Clean equipment as necessary.
All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have a work ethic that allows him/her to demonstrate his/her ability daily with minimal supervision.
Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and an ability to work with others in a team environment.
Must be willing to work in adverse conditions including, but not limited to, extreme heat, cold, dust, rain, snow and wind, as well as frequent contact with grease and dirt.
Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance. Must be able to work rotating shifts. Must be at least 18 years old.
