Overview Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Rigging Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of heavy materials and equipment within our warehouse environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy lifting machinery, rigging techniques, and construction-grade equipment, all while adhering to strict safety standards. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth operations, support construction projects, and maintain a safe workplace for everyone involved. Responsibilities Operate and oversee the use of cranes, forklifts, boom trucks, backhoes, excavators, and other material handling equipment to move heavy loads safely and efficiently. Implement load securing rigging methods in accordance with established procedures to prevent accidents or load shifts during lifting operations. Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment, rigging gear, safety harnesses, and other safety equipment before use to ensure optimal condition. Follow load handling procedures in crane operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations. Coordinate with team members to plan and execute lifting tasks while maintaining clear communication throughout each operation. Maintain detailed records of all rigging activities, equipment inspections, and safety checks for accountability and compliance purposes. Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and promote a culture of safety within the warehouse environment. Qualifications Proven experience in materials handling, crane operation, or construction site work with a focus on rigging and heavy equipment operation. Mechanical knowledge related to hydraulics, lifting equipment, overhead cranes, forklifts, boom trucks, excavators, and backhoes. Strong understanding of load securing rigging methods and crane operation procedures aligned with OSHA safety standards. Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely in a warehouse or construction setting. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and the implementation of safety protocol adherence at all times. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating certain heavy machinery or transporting materials. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring safe work practices are followed consistently.
