$23.35 per hour base wage, plus $5.42 per hour in Health & Welfare fringe benefits provided in accordance with applicable Service Contract Labor Standards requirements
Screening Requirements:

EMPLOYMENT NOTE
Full-time, exempt position contingent upon contract award . STi is identifying qualified candidates for proposal submission and post-award onboarding.
Period of Performance:
30 September 2026 - 29 September 2031, inclusive of option years, with a potential six-month extension.
POSITION OVERVIEW
STi is seeking experienced Parachute Riggers / Fabric Workers to support the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division Air Item Maintenance mission at Fort Bragg, NC. Personnel will inspect, maintain, modify, and repair Army personnel and cargo parachute systems and associated aerial-delivery equipment. The ideal candidate is a former Army MOS 92R Parachute Rigger or equivalent graduate of a DoD-approved Parachute Rigger Course with hands-on parachute inspection, repair, and industrial sewing experience.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform 100% Technical Rigger Inspections and production-line inspection and repair of personnel and cargo parachute systems. Inspect canopies, suspension lines, risers, harnesses, packs, deployment bags, hardware, and associated equipment for deterioration, damage, or unsafe conditions. Repair or replace suspension lines, lateral bands, radial seams, gores, panels, reinforcement tapes, retaining bands, harness components, and hardware. Perform authorized alterations and modifications using applicable schematics, specifications, technical manuals, and shop procedures. Operate commercial electric zigzag and other industrial sewing machines to complete parachute and fabric repairs. Support parachute drying-tower operations and perform required inspection and maintenance activities in accordance with shop procedures. Complete all work in accordance with TM 10-1670-series technical manuals, AR 750-32, safety requirements, and Echo Company standard operating procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS U.S.
Citizenship required. Graduate of a DoD-approved Parachute Rigger Course for Army type-classified personnel parachute systems Hands-on experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing Army personnel or cargo parachutes Knowledge of systems such as the T-11/T-11M, T-11R, MC-6, G-11, G-12, T-10/T-10C, or cargo extraction parachutes Experience using industrial sewing equipment to perform parachute, fabric, canvas, or aerial-delivery equipment repairs Ability to read and follow technical manuals, schematics, specifications, work orders, and shop procedures Ability to carry at least 50 pounds for 50 yards and perform the position's essential physical functions, with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to obtain a Common Access Card and pass required background and drug-testing requirements Ability to complete required Echo Company SOP training and qualification within six weeks of beginning work
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Army MOS 92R or equivalent military parachute-rigger experience Experience performing 100% Technical Rigger Inspections Previous support to Fort Bragg, the 82nd Airborne Division, or another military aerial-delivery facility Experience with radial-seam repair, suspension-line replacement or splicing, drying-tower operations, and industrial sewing-machine maintenance ABOUT STi Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will be performed at an active parachute-maintenance facility on Fort Bragg. Regular work hours are anticipated to fall between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The position requires standing, bending, handling parachute equipment, lifting, and operating industrial sewing equipment.
