$93,850/yr We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Group Leader. Other tasks may include but not limited to carrying materials and heavy objects, stacking materials, and maintaining the Yard. This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction. This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor. Wagman is a multi-faceted construction firm with operations in heavy civil, general construction and geotechnical construction services. Founded in 1902, Wagman is a fourth-generation family-owned company with offices in Pennsylvania and Virginia. Wagman Heavy Civil Inc. has grown to become a nationally recognized leader within the industry. Wagman Heavy Civil Inc's core competencies include design-build, infrastructure, marine construction, modified concrete, grooving and grinding and geotechnical construction services.Position Duties:
- The Group Leader is required to be onsite at each project in order to direct the work of the crew.
- Assist/direct all drilling/driving activities including but not limited to driving pile, drilling, grouting, re-grouting, hydraulic jacking, temporary and permanent excavation support and testing to meet design requirements.
- Document all design requirements as specified for the Engineer of Record, maintain and provide such documentation on demand.
- Lead/Supervise all crew members concurrently throughout the work shift including timecard entry and company required forms.
- Familiar with all Minor Equipment associated with tasks and in support of such task.
- Identify all Fall Exposures and implement appropriate Fall Prevention Measures "Best Practice", including PPE and proper use thereof.
- Confirm all access roads or drill/crane pads are prepared to the required stability to safely operate all equipment.
- Develop Project Equipment requirements needed to complete the work. Schedule mobilization and de-mobilization of all equipment.
- impressions with managers about how crew members are performing their duties, so that the managers can make human resource decisions such as whether to promote, improve performance, or obtain additional certifications.
- Work at unanticipated work sites throughout unanticipated locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia to be onsite for as little as one week or as long as multiple months depending on the scope and volume of the work on that job.
