In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely assembling, installing, and maintaining rigging systems to facilitate the precise lifting and movement of heavy materials and equipment on construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that all load handling procedures are executed efficiently while adhering strictly to safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of lifting equipment, including cranes, boom trucks, and hydraulics, contributing to successful project completions in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Set up and inspect rigging equipment, ensuring proper load securing methods are followed for safe lifting operations Follow load handling procedures in crane operations to prevent accidents and ensure stability during lifts Implement OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations at all times during operations Secure loads using appropriate rigging techniques, including slings, chains, hooks, and other lifting devices Conduct routine maintenance checks on lifting equipment and safety gear to maintain optimal performance Collaborate with crane operators, construction teams, and site managers to coordinate material handling activities efficiently Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of rigging systems, hydraulics, and load securing methods Proven experience with crane operation, including overhead cranes and boom trucks Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and OSHA safety standards Ability to handle materials safely using proper rigging techniques and load handling procedures Skilled in the operation of various materials handling equipment such as forklifts Excellent understanding of safety equipment usage and safety protocol adherence in high-risk environments Valid driver's license required Must be a US Citizen Must be willing to travel out of town Join our team as a Rigger to play a crucial role in ensuring safe, efficient lifting operations that keep projects moving forward.
