Job Description

Overview We are an established bay area roofing company looking for a dependable and experienced Roof Inspector to join our team. The Roof Inspector will visit residential and commercial properties, evaluate roof conditions, document findings with detailed photos and notes, identify necessary repairs or potential replacement needs, and communicate those findings clearly to our office and customers. We are looking for someone who understands roofing, is comfortable getting on roofs, communicates professionally with homeowners, and can work independently throughout the day. Duties Perform residential and light commercial roof inspections Safely access and walk roofs of various types and pitches Inspect shingles, tile, flat roofing, flashing, penetrations, gutters, drainage, and other roofing components Identify leaks, damage, deterioration, improper installation, and other roofing concerns Determine whether conditions warrant maintenance, repair, or further evaluation for replacement Take clear, organized photos of roof conditions Accurately document inspection findings and recommended repairs Use a smartphone or tablet to complete inspection documentation Communicate findings clearly to the office, estimators, and customers Answer basic homeowner questions regarding roof conditions Maintain an organized daily inspection schedule Drive between inspection appointments throughout the service area Follow company safety procedures at all times Represent the company professionally at customers' homes and businesses Ideal candidates will have experience as a: Roof inspector Roofer or roofing technician Roofing foreman Roofing estimator Roofing salesperson with strong technical knowledge Construction inspector or similar field professional Working knowledge of common roofing systems and materials Ability to recognize common roofing defects and repair needs Ability to safely use ladders and work at heights Strong attention to detail Good written and verbal communication skills Basic smartphone/tablet and computer skills Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule Professional appearance and customer-service skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record Experience using Company Cam Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required. We are looking for someone who is reliable, observant, organized, and comfortable working independently. We want someone who can accurately evaluate a roof, document what they see, and provide the office with enough information to prepare professional reports, repair recommendations, and estimates. You should be comfortable interacting directly with homeowners while providing straightforward, professional information about the condition of their roof.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
