We're looking for skilled Journeyman Roofers who take pride in their craft and want to be part of a growing, professional team. Position Overview As a Journeyman Roofer with Calburrey Roofing, you'll apply your technical skills and experience to install, repair, and maintain various roofing systems. Working under the guidance of our Foremen, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring quality installations while mentoring apprentices and contributing to our team's success.
Key Responsibilities Installation Expertise:
Install various roofing systems including shingles, tiles, membrane, and metal with high attention to detailQuality Workmanship:
Apply proper techniques for flashing, ventilation, and waterproofing to ensure long-lasting roof performanceTeam Collaboration:
Work effectively with other team members to complete projects efficiently and safelyApprentice Training:
Guide and instruct apprentices in proper techniques and safety practicesProblem Identification:
Recognize potential issues during installation and recommend appropriate solutionsMaterial Management:
Calculate material needs and minimize waste during installationTool Operation:
Safely use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and equipment specific to roofingSafety Practices:

Opportunity to advance to Foreman positions as you develop your skills and leadership abilities What You'll Need 2+ years of roofing experience with demonstrated proficiency in installation techniques Knowledge of various roofing systems and materials Understanding of building codes and industry standards Ability to read and follow project plans and specifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Own basic hand tools (specialty tools provided) Safety-conscious mindset and awareness Strong work ethic and dependability Preferred (But Not Required) Experience with multiple roofing systems (asphalt, tile, metal, flat roofing) OSHA safety certification First Aid/CPR certification Bilingual English/Spanish Physical Requirements Ability to work at heights on sloped surfaces Capacity to lift and carry up to 80 lbs Physical stamina for full workdays in varying weather conditions Manual dexterity for detailed installation work What We Offer Competitive wages ($29-$40 per hour based on experience) Health benefits 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Skill development and certification opportunitiesJob Type:
