As a Field Technician, you will work directly in the field supporting construction, restoration, roofing, and repair projects. You will begin by learning our jobsite procedures, safety standards, cleanup expectations, tool management, and basic construction tasks, with the possibility of crew management. As you demonstrate reliability and develop your skills, you will receive additional training in areas such as drywall, painting, roofing, gutters, and restoration work. Advancement and pay increases are based on demonstrated ability, performance, and continued growth.
Responsibilities General Construction & Jobsite Support:
Perform general construction labor, including jobsite cleanup, trash removal, material organization, loading and unloading, and proper material stacking.
Repair & Trade Work:
Learn and perform repair and construction tasks such as installing gutter screens and downspouts, drywall repair and texturing, painting, paint spraying, roofing-related work, and other restoration services.
Tool & Equipment Care:
Take the proper tools and equipment to each job and return them to the appropriate location at the end of the day. Clean and properly maintain tools and equipment after use.
Material Management:
Pick up the correct materials for assigned jobs, verify quantities, and properly document purchases, returns, receipts, and purchase orders.
Job Documentation:
Use your smartphone to review work orders, upload job progress photos, communicate with the team, and accurately track work time.
Safety:
Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite requirements. Employees must report to work able to perform their duties safely and without impairment from alcohol or drugs.
Team Support:
Assist coworkers and perform other related duties as needed to support job completion and company operations.
Requirements Reliability:
Consistent attendance, punctuality, communication, and follow-through are essential. Our crews often start early, and every team member is expected to be ready to work when scheduled.
Strong Work Ethic:
Willingness to work hard, learn, accept instruction, and complete tasks properly.
Safety Mindset:
Ability and willingness to follow company safety policies and maintain an impairment-free work environment. Post-accident and reasonable-suspicion testing may be required in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
Physical Ability:
Lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, carry construction materials and tools, work outdoors, and safely navigate uneven surfaces and active job sites.
Basic Hand Tools:
Must have a basic set of personal hand tools by your start date, including a tool belt, tape measure, hammer, and utility knife.
Transportation:
Must have reliable transportation to the company yard and designated meeting locations.
Smartphone:
Must have a reliable smartphone capable of using company communication, timekeeping, photo, and job-management applications.
