Vertical Earth is seeking experienced Modular Block Crew Members to join our growing team. This position is ideal for hardworking individuals with experience installing modular block retaining walls, segmental retaining wall systems, and related site construction work. Candidates must have at least one (1) year of experience working on retaining wall or modular block installation projects. As a member of our wall crew, you will play a key role in constructing retaining walls for commercial, residential, transportation, and heavy civil construction projects. Experience with grading, excavation, compaction, geogrid installation, drainage systems, and wall construction is highly preferred. The role involves installing modular blocks, geotextile fabric, drainage material, and backfill in accordance with project plans and specifications. Responsibilities Install modular block retaining wall systems safely and efficiently. Read and follow construction plans, grades, and layout information. Assist with excavation, base preparation, compaction, and wall construction. Install geogrid reinforcement, geotextile fabric, drainage systems, and backfill material. Operate hand tools and assist with construction equipment as directed. Maintain a safe, clean, and productive job site. Follow company safety policies and all project requirements. Work closely with foremen and crew members to meet production goals. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience installing modular block or retaining wall systems. Experience in heavy civil, site development, earthwork, or construction preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding labor, including lifting 50+ pounds. Knowledge of grading, compaction, drainage, and retaining wall construction techniques preferred. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
