Our company specializes in residential holiday light installation. Services primarily involve installing Christmas lights on houses, including rooflines and other exterior areas. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with previous experience working on residential roofs who are comfortable working at heights and performing physically demanding outdoor work. Seasonal Work Christmas light installation projects typically begin in late October and continue through December. Following the holiday season, seasonal light removal and teardown projects are typically completed in January, weather permitting and before winter conditions make exterior work unsafe. The availability, timing, and number of projects may vary based on customer demand and weather conditions.
Contractor Qualifications Applicants should have:
Previous experience safely working on residential roofs Experience using ladders and working at heights The physical ability to climb, bend, reach, lift, carry, and perform outdoor installation work The ability to lift and handle Christmas lights, materials, and equipment Reliable transportation to project locations Experience with roofing, construction, landscaping, exterior work, holiday lighting, or similar work is preferred reliable vehicle to get to and from jobs. and ability to haul lighting and equipment Previous Christmas light installation experience is helpful but is not required. Previous experience being on and working safely on residential roofs is strongly preferred. Nature of the Work Contracted services may include: Installing Christmas and holiday lights on residential properties Installing lights along rooflines and other exterior areas Accessing residential roofs and elevated areas when appropriate and safe Handling and hanging lighting materials Seasonal removal and teardown of holiday lighting following the holiday season Weather and Safety Roof and exterior work is dependent on safe weather and property conditions. We do not perform roof work in slippery, wet, icy, or other conditions that make working on a roof unsafe. Projects may be postponed or rescheduled when weather or property conditions do not allow for safe exterior work. Equipment and Materials Certain project-specific materials or equipment may be available depending on the scope of the project. Details regarding each project's scope, requirements, available materials, and compensation will be discussed before services are performed. Independent Contractor Opportunity This is a seasonal independent contractor opportunity. Contractors will be engaged on a project or seasonal basis based on available work and mutual agreement. If you have experience working safely on residential roofs, are comfortable working at heights, and are interested in providing seasonal holiday light installation services, we encourage you to apply.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
