Job Description
Job Overview Rapid Response Roofing is looking for an experienced and dependable Roofing Repair Technician to perform residential and light commercial roof repairs throughout our service area. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity designed for an experienced roofing professional who can work independently and take ownership of repair projects from start to finish. Our sales and inspection team generates the work. Once a repair is sold and ready for production, you will receive a work order outlining the scope of work. Your responsibility is to complete the repair professionally, document the completed work, and provide our customers with the quality workmanship they expect from Rapid Response Roofing. Duties Shingle replacement and small-area repairs Flashing repairs and replacement Pipe boot and roof penetration repairs Chimney and wall flashing repairs Ventilation-related repairs Minor decking replacement Siding and exterior repairs associated with roof systems Storm and wind damage repairs Emergency/tarp repairs when available Other residential and light commercial roofing repairs Taking before-and-after photographs and documenting completed work Some fascia and soffit work This is primarily repair and service work; not full roof replacement installation. Experience We are looking for someone who already knows roofing and can be trusted to work independently. Professional roofing experience Strong knowledge of asphalt shingle roofing systems Experience in repairing roof leaks Knowledge of flashing, ventilation, penetrations, and common roofing failure points Ability to read and follow a written scope of work Ability to safely work on residential and commercial roofs Reliable transportation Necessary roofing tools and equipment Smartphone capable of taking and submitting job photos Strong communication and customer-service skills Attention to detail and pride in workmanship Experience with EPDM, TPO, metal roofing, is preferred Compensation 1099 Independent Contractor Compensation is paid per completed work order/project, with pricing established based on the scope and type of repair.
