Two positions are available for passionate Special Education Teachers eager to start as soon as possible and continue through June 2027.

Desired Qualifications:

Current and active Michigan teaching license in Special Education (upload a screenshot of your credential with your application). Experience or strong interest in working with students with cognitive impairments at the high school level. Familiarity with individualized education plan (IEP) development, implementation, and progress monitoring. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with students, families, support staff, and administration. Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment that promotes growth and independence. Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with cognitive impairments. Develop, review, and implement IEPs in partnership with IEP teams. Foster a positive and supportive classroom climate that encourages student participation and learning. Assess student skills, track progress, and report outcomes to stakeholders. Collaborate with general education teachers and instructional assistants to support student integration and achievement. Participate actively in school meetings, training, and professional development throughout the contract term.
