Role Description:
The Warranty Technician is a full-time field position based in Charlotte, NC. Working with our Warranty Team, you'll be the onsite representative of Classica Homes during 1-year and one-off warranty visits. You'll handle punch-list style repairs, support scheduled Trade Partners on warranty items, and keep homeowners and the team updated on completed work and next steps. All work is done within the Classica Homes Limited Warranty Agreement and Warranty Standards, with respect for the home and its cleanliness.
Qualifications:
Experience in residential single-family construction with basic carpentry, door adjustments, drywall, and painting skills. Ability to ascend/descend ladders and stairs, to work in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces, and to lift 50 pounds such as a bucket of paint or move general furniture. Has written and verbal communication skills to effectively build trust with both Home Owners, Warranty Team and Trade partners. Ability to read and send email documents and schedule updates (Outlook Proficient). Records items as completed from warranty tickets. Report back to the Warranty Coordinator progress made. Update Structure notes for your items as needed daily from the field using iPad or computer. Print your own warranty reports as needed. Utilize reports in the field to self-schedule "fill in" appointments. Provide your own personal vehicle and tools to do the job. Must be able to work independently yet works well between all departmental teams, treats people with respect, listens letting others speak and seeks to understand them and has Customer Compassion. Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to details, follows through on commitments and Calm under pressure. Positive "Can do" attitude, multi-task orientated and willing to seek guidance and assistance when needed. Eager to learn new systems and processes, open to coaching, and values feedback as a way to grow.
