Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will ensure that roofing projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on diverse projects while honing your craftsmanship in roofing and related trades. Duties Install a variety of roofing systems including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and tile roofing according to project specifications and safety standards. Conduct roof repairs and restoration work to extend the lifespan of existing structures. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects. Use hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety harnesses to perform tasks safely and effectively. Assist with siding installation, drywall finishing, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry work, and other related construction activities as needed. Follow all construction safety regulations including proper ladder use, harness safety protocols, and site safety procedures. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency. Skills Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, and maintenance with a strong understanding of roofing materials such as metal roofing and single-ply membranes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, ladders, and safety harnesses in compliance with workplace safety regulations. Knowledge of construction estimating processes for project planning and resource allocation. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols including OSHA standards for working at heights and outdoor environments. Experience with siding installation, drywall finishing, caulking techniques, trim carpentry, masonry work, plumbing basics, concrete forming, fabrication tasks, tile laying, and restoration projects is highly desirable. Strong outdoor work experience with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise project execution. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to safety protocol adherence across all job functions.
