Full Job Description Job Summary:
Installation Technician (Construction Experience Prefered) Design, plan, and install residential and commercial radon mitigation systems according to EPA standards and building codes to reduce indoor radon gas concentrations. This role requires technical construction skills, critical problem-solving, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities System Design & Installation:
Assess building construction to design and install custom radon mitigation systems, including PVC vent stack piping, concrete coring, basic electrical wiring, and roof boot installation.
Testing & Diagnostics:
Set up, retrieve, and evaluate radon measurement tests. Evaluate, diagnose, and repair underperforming radon mitigation systems.
Construction Skills:
Use hand and power tools to fit/install pipes, cut/drill holes, mount brackets, and secure materials.
Customer Interaction:
Provide high-quality customer service, clearly explaining test results, system design, installation process, and post-mitigation testing. Collect final payments.
Logistics & Safety:
Prepare all necessary equipment and supplies for the job site. Maintain a safe, clean work area and adhere to all safety regulations. Safely drive and be punctual for all work orders. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required. Valid driver's license and good/clean driving record. Ability to successfully achieve NRPP certification within 60 days (company-paid). Basic understanding of home construction (1-2 years experience in construction, electrical, HVAC, or plumbing is a plus). Strong independent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills (with clients and team). Self-starter, reliable, and able to work independently. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs . Able to work on ladders, in attics, and in crawl spaces, often in confined spaces and varying weather conditions. Requires regional travel and occasional overnight travel.
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
