Job Duties and SkillsDescription:
This duty is strictly preparatory and assistive. The worker operates under the continuous, direct supervision of a skilled roofer and performs no independent installation, measurement, cutting, fastening, sealing, or flashing. Specifically, "applying or assisting" means:- Unrolling felt underlayment and holding it flat while the supervising roofer fastens it — the helper does not cut, staple, or fasten independently;
- Carrying and staging shingle bundles, asphalt strips, or roofing gravel to designated work areas as directed;
- Spreading roofing cement on pre-marked areas under step-by-step instruction from the supervising roofer — the helper does not determine placement or coverage;
- Handing materials and tools to the roofer during active installation sequences. All decisions regarding placement, method, sequencing, and quality of installation rest with the skilled roofer. The worker's full scope of duties — loading, carrying, cleaning, debris removal, ladder handling, and the assistive material tasks above — is consistent with SOC 47-3016, Helpers

Duties include:
loading, unloading, carrying, and supplying roofing materials, tools, and equipment; holding materials or tools for roofers; removing old roofing materials and debris; sweeping and cleaning roof surfaces and work areas; setting up and holding ladders; unrolling roofing felt or underlayment and holding it in position while the supervising roofer fastens it; carrying and staging shingle bundles, asphalt strips, or roofing gravel to designated work areas as directed; spreading roofing cement on pre-marked areas only under step-by-step direction from the supervising roofer; and handing materials and tools to roofers during installation. The worker does not independently cut, measure, nail, fasten, seal, or flash any roofing material. Assist skilled roofers with roofing installation, repair, and replacement work. Duties include loading, unloading, carrying, and supplying roofing materials, tools, and equipment; holding materials or tools for roofers; removing old roofing materials, broken materials, and debris; sweeping and cleaning roof surfaces and work areas; setting up, moving, and holding ladders and basic equipment; unrolling roofing materials as directed; applying or assisting with basic roofing materials such as felt, asphalt strips, shingles, gravel, or other roofing materials under the direction of skilled roofers; maintaining tools and equipment; and following all safety protocols while working at heights and on construction worksites.- This temporary full-time position is from October 2, 2026

Work Hours:
7am-4pm, Monday-Friday- OT Rate of $24.64 per hour.
- Multiple worksite in the Dallas, TX metropolitan area Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
