Our custom sheet metal solutions support projects ranging from single-property improvements to large-scale commercial construction. Position Summary PAC Shield Sheet Metal LLC is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Driver to join our growing team. This position is responsible for fabricating quality sheet metal products while supporting shop operations and assisting with material and equipment transportation as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, takes pride in producing quality work, and is willing to help wherever needed to support the team. This is a full-time position based in Modesto, CA, reporting to the Fabrication Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate and maintain sheet metal fabrication equipment, including CNC machines, manual brakes, shears, portable gutter roll-forming machines, and other shop equipment. Fabricate custom flashing, coping, fascia, gutters, trim, and other sheet metal components to specification. Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. Measure, cut, form, assemble, and finish sheet metal products with accuracy. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Safely load, unload, and transport materials, equipment, and finished products. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area. Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with shop, warehouse, delivery, and field support activities as business needs require. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding schedules, material needs, and production concerns. Qualifications Required Experience fabricating sheet metal products in a commercial fabrication environment. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints. Experience operating common sheet metal fabrication equipment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, or company vehicles as assigned. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Preferred Three or more years of sheet metal fabrication experience. Commercial roofing or architectural sheet metal experience. CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Forklift certification. OSHA 10 certification. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday. Work safely around fabrication equipment and moving machinery. Work in varying weather conditions when making deliveries or assisting at jobsites.
