We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, fabricating, and modifying sheet metal components for commercial mechanical and HVAC systems. This position requires the ability to read blueprints, work with various sheet metal materials, and complete installations safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Install, fabricate, and modify sheet metal components for HVAC and mechanical systems. Install ductwork, fittings, dampers, louvers, and related sheet metal components. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications. Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and secure sheet metal according to project requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment. Seal and insulate ductwork as required. Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, alignment, and quality. Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper installation and project progression. Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or foreman. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar position. Commercial HVAC or mechanical construction experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings. Experience working with galvanized steel, aluminum, and other sheet metal materials. Proficient with common hand and power tools. Ability to accurately measure, cut, bend, and install sheet metal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Ability to lift materials, work from ladders/lifts, and perform physically demanding tasks. Preferred Skills HVAC duct installation experience Sheet metal fabrication experience Commercial construction experience Experience with lifts and elevated work Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods. Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor construction environments. Ability to work at heights when required.
