No previous sheet metal experience is required. We'll provide the training and support needed to help you develop into a skilled HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator. You'll receive hands-on training while learning fabrication techniques, shop safety, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with fabricating residential and light commercial HVAC ductwork Measure, cut, assemble, and prepare sheet metal components under the guidance of experienced fabricators Load, unload, organize, and stage materials for fabrication and installation crews Learn to safely operate sheet metal fabrication equipment and hand tools Assist with assembling fittings, plenums, transitions, and other duct components Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Help maintain fabrication equipment and shop inventory Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards Support fabrication and installation teams as needed Participate in ongoing training to develop fabrication skills and HVAC knowledge Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning a skilled trade Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math Comfortable using hand tools or willing to learn Ability to lift materials and work in a fabrication shop environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced team members Construction, warehouse, manufacturing, maintenance, or mechanical experience is a plus, but not required High school diploma or equivalent preferred Compensation and Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications Health insurance Paid vacation and holidays 401(k) with up to a 4% company match Paid training and professional development Clear advancement opportunities into HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator and HVAC Installer positions Stable, year-round employment Supportive leadership and collaborative team culture If you're looking to start a rewarding career in the skilled trades, Terry's Heating and Air Conditioning offers the training, mentorship, and career path to help you succeed.
