Role Description The Sheet Metal Welder/Fabricator is a full-time, on-site role based in Rocky Mount, NC. This position is responsible for fabricating and welding sheet metal components according to drawings, specifications, and work orders. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and cutting materials, operating fabrication equipment, performing various welding processes, and fitting and assembling parts. The role involves inspecting completed work for accuracy, quality, and safety, and making adjustments as needed. The Sheet Metal Welder/Fabricator will collaborate with team members, follow shop and site safety procedures, and support machinery installation, plant maintenance, and shutdown projects as required. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Welding, including experience with sheet metal fabrication processes. Hands-on skills in Arc Welding, with the ability to safely and accurately perform welds in industrial settings. Practical experience in TIG Welding for precise, high-quality welds on various metals and thicknesses. Operational knowledge of MIG Welding techniques for efficient production and repair work. Understanding of Materials used in fabrication, including properties of metals and appropriate welding methods. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols. Strong commitment to workplace safety, including use of PPE and adherence to OSHA and company guidelines. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as shears, brakes, and grinders. Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, or food plant environments is beneficial. Relevant trade certification or technical training in welding or metal fabrication is preferred.

Pay:

$25.43 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
