Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Sheet Metal/Fabricator and play a vital role in transforming raw materials into precision-engineered components. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with advanced fabrication technologies, including sheet metal layout and forming and blue print reading to produce high-quality sheet metal parts. We are seeking motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to develop their skills in fabrication, assembly, and quality inspection. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering durable, precise products that meet rigorous standards. Duties Ability to use press brake, metal workers, sheet metal shears and various hand tools (mag drill etc). Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of parts. Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards throughout production. Perform welding tasks using appropriate techniques to join metal components securely while adhering to safety guidelines. Conduct quality inspections at various stages of production using micrometers, calipers, and other tools to ensure specifications are met. Operate forklifts and cranes safely for material handling and movement within the workspace. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following safety procedures and ensuring proper tooling setup. Assist with assembly processes by fitting fabricated parts together according to specifications. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize fabrication workflows for efficiency. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of sheet metal properties and fabrication techniques. Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for precise manufacturing. Proficient in welding techniques suitable for sheet metal work. Ability to use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately. Knowledge of safety protocols related to forklift operation, crane handling, machining equipment, and general manufacturing safety standards. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality control processes. Prior experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate committed to learning. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
