Key Responsibilities Fabricate, install, and maintain sheet metal ductwork and related systems Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications Measure, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components for installation Install commercial and industrial HVAC duct systems according to plans and industry standards Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and fellow tradespeople to maintain project schedules Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and safety requirements Identify and resolve installation challenges in the field Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 2+ years of sheet metal experience, preferably in commercial or industrial construction Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Commitment to safety, quality, and professional workmanship Preferred Qualifications Commercial HVAC duct installation experience OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification Experience with fabrication and layout of sheet metal systems Knowledge of commercial construction and mechanical systems Compensation & Benefits Walker White Mechanical offers a competitive compensation package designed to reward experience and support long-term career growth.
