Position:

Sheet Metal Fabricator/Machine Operator Lineage Metals seeks to hire a Machine Operator that has a background in custom/production fabrication. This position will be located at our Nashville, TN facility until Mid-November of 2026 when we relocate to our new facility in Mt. Pleasant, TN. Role/Responsibilities:

The Machine Operator will be responsible for the operation of metal fabrication equipment to include but not limited to sheet metal folders, slitters, brakes, and shears with the support of the Senior Machine Operator. Additionally, the Machine Operator will be responsible to verify that fabricated products meet drawing specifications using measurement tools. Able to handle understanding of processes set forth by management, read picking tickets, and document parts that have been made/packaged. Position also requires the ability to do custom fabrication, small batch jobs, and to think outside the box when making high quality parts made out of thin gauge material (26ga painted steel) and heavier sheet (up to 10ga gavl steel and 10ga Stainless Steel).

Requirements:

• Must be knowledgeable and be able to demonstrate the use of measurement tools such as rulers, measuring tapes and micrometers as well as the use of angle finders and squares.
• Machine operation experience.
• Some use of computers is required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, and lift objects over head. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Able to read prints and make parts based off the print with little to no supervison.

Additional Preferences:

• Experience with hand tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools and manufacturing ERP systems.
• Fork-lift/powered lift training and experience.
• Mechanical background.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Positive mindset.
• Team player.
